PTSD and Emotional Trauma are the few mental illnesses triggered by an outside, traumatising event. Traumatic events can produce a lasting negative effect leaving a person anxious and unable to cope with everyday life.

Treatment

Several types of treatment options are available if you are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. The most often prescribed method of treatment is psychotherapy.
